William Osborn homestead

This is the only known photo of the William Osborn family. It shows them
in front of the old school/meeting house that they converted to their family dwelling after
obtaining the surrounding farm land. The location is near Elk City NE
and the time is about 1892. My grandfather, Arthur King Osborn is
sitting on the far right. They took this farm after William lived and
worked in Omaha NE for a while as a cooper.
 
Accompanying the photo was a two page document from my great uncle
Charles Raymond Osborn where he talks about the home as he remembered it
as a boy. He was the baby being held by his mother in the photo.
