We send these flowers, as words, to the Greiser family with our close family thoughts.  In the memory of the passing of Phoebe Ester Mackway Greiser age 84, who was such a loving person, we will take a moment to reflect on her in life. Her husband Charles is a dedicated and continuously optimistic person - who is a saint. The world is a better place because of what Charles and Phoebe have done in life. Their two daughters, Kathy and Lois, will carry her good work on.

Louise Weinbauer 70 and Samuel  Vaillancourt spirit gave us Estelle 71, Mabel, Eunice 90. Louise with Harold Mackway Sr 82 gave us Harold 76, Louise 86, Naomi 80 and Phoebe 84(the youngest).  But now all are gone, we miss them all for their spirit, intellect and vitality. They were often not understood by mere mortals, but they were in an exclusive class by themselves. We were honored to know them as our family.

Ralph,

Most of the family didn't understand her (to include myself for many years), but she blossomed into a wonderful woman. She didn't interact with people much, so she lacked social skills. Mom could be very blunt - some would say cruel. She was not demonstrative with her emotions, but learned late in life how to be loving. Mom and I had a very rocky relationship for many years. Kathy and she never really mended the fence (so to speak). I was fortunate - I found a friend buried down inside her heart. I am very much like my mother. Not only in looks, but spirit. We butt heads often because we where both strong willed.

Mom became one of best friends. I wish the family could have seen what she became once she opened the door to her heart. A very different person. I will miss her. There is a void in my heart where she was. I am so thankful I have Anthony to help me through this. I am very worried about Dad. I have a hole in my heart, but he has been torn in half. His other half is missing and he is lost without her. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you.

Mom was fun. She was my playmate. The age difference between Kathy and I was so great - I was an annoyance to her most times. Mom would help me throw sheets over the wash line for my pretend fort. She helped me make mudpies in the backyard. We played "I see something" on the front porch. We spent hours laying on the front lawn picking shapes out of the clouds. We would go creek walking at Stevens Creek park and build small dams. She would serve picnic dinners in our backyard or at the local park. There was little girl inside her all the time just waiting for an excuse to surface. Other than Dad, no one knew her the way I did. They only meet the rough exterior. I wish everyone could have seen what I saw.

Again, I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you. Thank you for lovely pictures. Dad has expressed an interest in owning a computer, so we are giving him ours. It's a good excuse for us to buy the latest and greatest equipment. I hope to have him set up with the internet within the next two weeks, so you may hear from him.

Love, Lois
